Edition I

An Anthology of short stories, poems and letters by a collective of storytellers.

Eight storytellers share a collection of 12 non-fiction and fiction pieces; sharing their songline through time. Alongside the stories are photos and interviews. Authors include: Lee Rickwood, Dorin Hart, Helen Lambert, John Shuttleworth, Jon L. Shuttleworth, Nick Vale from Affirmations Publishing House, Rachel Faith and Eleanor Sharman.

From fireflies to waterfall jumps, a homage to the seasons or clowns in a bank, relationships ending to them healing once again, the power of breaking ancestral patterns, from the invisible to finding oneself-it is found amongst these pages.

Each one of us has a story to share.

Voice Within is a collector of stories yearning to be heard. Here to reignite the flame around the campfire, where we gather as people to listen to one another's story; each one's Voice Within.

Edition II

This storybook, edition 2, carries on the legacy of short stories, letters and poems.

Eight contributing authors, 11 pieces, in an addition, four letters from community members of a Tai Chi group based in the city of Sydney. Alongside Brian Wattle’s watercolour illustrations, every tale carries us through: the wisdom and imaginings of sages; the heart-felt splendour upon witnessing the beauty of caves and mountains; we meet the internal struggle of one’s letting go and the vulnerability to be seen and held at one’s darkest time; we hear the whispers of trees to us humans; curses posed upon us by unassuming birds; a saying goodbye to those we held dear and an awe of what contours are seen in nature; the rise and fall of a kingdom, and the healing potential of forgiveness; a meeting of four individuals and their struggles in a single life-changing moment; a fox who speaks to us as she witnesses her own sending off from the physical world, and, what it means to be in a community that allows you to belong through a practice of flow.

Authors include: Lee Rickwood, John Shuttleworth, Rachel Faith, Jessica Klein-Gibaud, Chris-James Melchizedek, Christina Lavers, Lea Evergreen, Russell Atkinson, and the Tai Chi community members from Bexley Uniting Church, Sydney.

This anthology is for who wants to be captivated, for just a moment in time. It is beyond an honour to present to you those who write, therefore they are.

Edition III

Eight authors gather in one collection, and bring forth an anthology of 11 short stories, poems and letters compiled in edition III. Once again, let us celebrate the storytellers and their tales.

Alongside written pieces, authors are interviewed as we discover their creative process. Authors include: Than Thieng, Lea Evergreen, Shannon Merika, Risa August, Dorin Hart, Lee Rickwood, Chris-James Melchizedek and Alexandra Crain.

As you unfurl the pages, you will discover the interconnectedness of lovers, the slowing down of time to witness self-transformation, being one self on the journey to belonging, when chasing success takes you away from the pleasures of the small things in life, the emotional grappling of dealing with chronic illness, the disconnection from the world as an analogy of a break up to return to nature and real connection to others, how a self-reflective journey brings clarity in life’s unfolding, an apprehensive clown visiting a family Christmas lunch, where family secrets are buried to be discovered within a pub in England, a walk in the Australian desert soon turns fatal, where the heart of the home is a woman being held and seen for her beauty and offerings, and how speaking words of gratitude can wash away the heaviness of being human.
